PAC Meeting December 13 @ 6:00pm
Nov 15/16 PAC Meeting – Garden Written Report
- New 3-bin compost and second storage box installed by VSB Grounds. New weather-proof locks were purchased for the compost bins and storage box. The lock for the original storage box broke but has been replaced under warranty.
- Nikoo had to reschedule the Nov 4 Composting Workshops and will be coming Friday Nov 18 instead.
- Six large 4’ grow lights for indoor seedlings were purchased from the US, and even with the exchange rate and duties, the total cost was cheaper than buying from Canada.
- Still waiting for a quote from VSB Maintenance for a new water tap closer to the garden. Val will follow-up with VSB Maintenance.
- Outdoor water taps have been shut off to prevent freezing. Ms De Jardin’s grade 6-7 class will monitor the winter hoop garden and open it up for rainwater as needed.
We can use your help to grow our garden! Please contact Val at valeriakao@gmail.com if you would like to volunteer with the Garden Committee.
